Today we will talk about website optimisation - simple ways that you can optimise your website for search engines. Increase optimisation - means more traffic. More traffic = more leads.

We'll be looking at both types these types of website optimisation - with an special focus on 'on page' seo - with a list of the key things you need to do, to optimise your website for Google.
Remember - this is all about the customer. With all website optimisation strategies - you need to put your customer at the heart. Even Google wants your customers to be happy!

What is 'on page seo' or 'on page optimisation'?
On page optimisation - makes the most of your website for search engines.
Keywords - your preferred set of keywords - provides the foundation for 'on page' seo.
On page optimisation, uses the following elements strategically to boost your performance in search engines.
• Meta Title
• Headline (H1, H2, H3, H4 and H5 tags)
• Image Alt Text
• Meta Description
On page optimisation is not just for your homepage. It is for all pages. This is the foundation of strategic website development
What is 'off page seo' or 'off page optimisation'?
Off-page SEO is all about link building.
A link is created when an external website provides a hypertext link to your website.
It is not about volume. In the past, the Wild West days of the internet - it was 'the more, the better'. Not so today. Aim for a small portfolio of quality links.
Some simple ways that you can build useful links to your website are:
provide a link to your website from all your social media accounts
link to your website from online business directories such as yellow pages and yelp.

What are some essential things you need to do to boost your 'on page' seo? 1. Site Speed
Did you know that 47% of your target audience expects your website to load in under two seconds?

Make it easy for Google AI to know what your page is about. Use keywords strategically - but mix it up.
3. Create content that connect with your audience.
People want to learn more about you, your business, your products, your services - your vision. Aim to help them with quality information and google will reward you for it.
Aim to make your content- practical, useful, interesting and shareable. Boost your brand awareness and keep your target keywords in mind.
A blog is perfect for this. Aim to post regularly - with articles over 1,000 words in length.
